Job Description
The role involves assessing aids to independence, works of adaptation (major and minor), manual handling assessments, and evaluating effectiveness of interventions for adults with complex needs.
Responsibilities
- Work in the interdisciplinary setting, liaising with team members and social work colleagues.
- Collaborate with other agencies as required.
- Monitor progress of recommendations for works of adaptation and equipment, reviewing provisions as required.
- Support and supervise junior staff, students and Occupational Therapy Assistants, ensuring consistent standards.
- Complete administrative tasks and maintain accurate data records.
- Contribute to development of services for adults in the Vale of Glamorgan Council catchment area.
- Prepare for and attend supervision with the team manager or authorised designate.
- Attend team meetings and lead/contribute as applicable.
- Ensure compliance with Council Financial Regulations, Standing Orders, Policies and Procedures.
- Implement the principles of the Council's Equal Opportunity Policy.
- Adhere to Health and Safety legislation and council policies, taking reasonable care for health and safety.
- Implement the Council's Environment Policy.
- Perform other duties as reasonably required by the Chief Officer.
