Locum Band 7 Mental Health Occupational Therapist South East London

JustOT is currently recruiting for an experienced Band 7 Mental Health Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated mental health service in South East London on a locum basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled Occupational Therapist with a strong background in mental health to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care across a varied caseload.

Key Requirements

  • Extensive experience working in mental health services across diverse patient populations.
  • Proven experience in inpatient, community, and outpatient mental health settings.
  • Specialist knowledge and practical expertise in Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) assessments and interventions.
  • Strong skills in occupational therapy assessment, care planning, risk assessment, and risk management.
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

The Role

You will be responsible for completing comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, developing and reviewing care plans, delivering evidence-based interventions using the MOHO framework, and supporting service users to maximise their independence and recovery. You will also play a key role in risk assessment and management, ensuring safe and effective clinical practice.
