We are currently seeking a practical, reliable and compassionate Occupational Therapist to support with assistive technology home installations across South East London. This is a field-based role where you will travel to customers’ homes to install, set up and occasionally remove home monitoring and assistive technology equipment, ensuring all systems are functioning safely and effectively.
Our customers are often older or vulnerable individuals, so this role requires far more than technical ability. We are looking for someone with patience, empathy and a calm, reassuring manner who can confidently explain technology in a clear and supportive way. This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference to people’s independence and wellbeing by helping them feel safer and more confident in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities- Install assistive technology and home monitoring equipment safely and efficiently in customers’ homes
- Test all hardware and software before leaving site
- Troubleshoot basic setup, connectivity and installation issues
- Configure mobile applications on iOS and Android devices for customers and family members
- Pair and provision IoT and connected devices
- Carry out safe mounting and minor drilling/modifications where required
- Remove, replace or upgrade equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate installation notes and customer records using HubSpot CRM
- Report incidents promptly and in line with company procedures
- Manage and organise your daily installation schedule independently
- Maintain installation stock, tools and equipment
- Share customer feedback and insights with the wider team
- Deliver a professional, respectful and customer-focused service at all times
- Qualified Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with assistive technology or home monitoring equipment
- Strong practical and problem-solving skills
- Confident using mobile apps, smart devices and connected technology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, empathetic and professional approach when working with vulnerable individuals
- Ability to work independently and manage a field-based schedule
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred
- Must be available to carry out visits within the South East London boroughs
- Fully remote working with field-based autonomy
