We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our Complex Occupational Therapy Service. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting adults with complex needs and contributing to the delivery of person-centred occupational therapy interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Occupational Therapists in the assessment and treatment of adults with complex health and social care needs.
- Assist with the provision of equipment, adaptations, and solutions to promote independence and improve functional ability.
- Complete equipment provision, installation, and review processes as required.
- Support with moving and handling (M&H) assessments, advice, and interventions.
- Work collaboratively with service users, families, carers, and other professionals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to clinical decision-making.
- Provide practical support and guidance within the community and care environments.
- Must have experience working within Adult Social Care .
- Knowledge and understanding of occupational therapy equipment and adaptations.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex physical, cognitive, and social care needs.
- Understanding of safe moving and handling practices.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
