Locum Band 6 Inpatient Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist

JustOT is currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Inpatient Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist to join a team based in North London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated OT with strong inpatient rehabilitation experience who is confident managing a varied caseload and supporting junior colleagues within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage a defined caseload, using evidence-based and patient-centred approaches to assess, plan, implement and evaluate occupational therapy interventions.
• Deliver high-quality rehabilitation to support patients in achieving their functional goals and maximising independence.
• Provide guidance and leadership to junior staff, as delegated by the Team Lead Occupational Therapist.
• Supervise junior Occupational Therapists, therapy support staff and students on clinical placements.
• Support the Band 7 Team Leader in maintaining an exceptional standard of Occupational Therapy provision across a 7-day service.
• Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure rehabilitation meets the needs of patients within your designated clinical area.

Essential Requirements

• HCPC registration.
• Previous experience working at Band 6 level or equivalent.
• Strong inpatient rehabilitation Occupational Therapy experience.
• Experience supporting and supervising junior staff and students.
• Excellent communication, organisational and multidisciplinary working skills.
