Locum Community Rehabilitation Assistant – Band 3
JustOT is currently recruiting for a Band 3 Community Rehabilitation Assistant to join a community therapy team based in East London.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Rehabilitation Assistant to support Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in delivering rehabilitation to patients within their own homes and community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support patients with individual rehabilitation programmes under the guidance of qualified therapists.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers and functional activities.
- Help patients regain independence with activities of daily living.
- Carry out rehabilitation interventions within patients' homes and community settings.
- Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the wider therapy team.
- Work closely with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and the wider MDT.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Rehabilitation Assistant or Therapy Assistant.
- Experience supporting patients within a community setting.
- Good understanding of rehabilitation and mobility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
- A flexible and patient-centred approach.
- Access to own transport
