JustOT are recruiting for an HCPC registered experienced Occupational Therapist to work with our well-respected client based in Hampshire.

Location: Havant, Alton, Eastleigh, Totton

Rate: £38 per hour

Contract Type: Temporary

Essential Requirements: HCPC registered, 3 years Social Services Experience

Working Hours: Hybrid working – full time but part time will be considered

We are looking for an enthusiastic Children's Occupational Therapist to join the team. The ideal candidate will strive to continually improve their clinical skills, enjoy working in a team environment and have experience working with children who have sensory difficulties and a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders.

You will act as a source of OT expertise providing clinical supervision and specialist assessment/intervention. The post holder will hold a caseload working across different environments such as home, school and clinics. The Occupational Health children's team encompasses both physiotherapy and speech and language therapy enabling strong opportunities for close joint working. Relationships also extend to other pathways, such as Neurodiversity and Learning Disability, placing the child at the heart of the team's practice.

What is the day-to-day of the role:

  • To provide Specialist OT assessment and intervention for a caseload of complex cases.
  • Provide support and clinical supervision to OT staff across Hampshire.
  • Work within the Physical and Sensory Pathway providing support to Occupational Therapists working across a range of pathways.
  • Screen and triage referrals and ensure a strengths-based approach to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions to support the complex packages of care for children with additional needs in the community.
  • Contribute to risk assessment and care planning in collaboration with children, young people and their carers.
  • Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment, advice and interventions to children, young people and their families and hold a caseload of children with complex needs.
  • Provide case management of an identified caseload of children and young people with highly complex long-term conditions and complex needs by utilising and promoting evidence-based care.
