Locum Band 6 Orthopaedic Occupational Therapist West Midlands
JustOT is currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Orthopaedic Occupational Therapist to take on a locum opportunity based in the West Midlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced OT with a background in orthopaedics to join a busy clinical team, supporting patients through assessment, rehabilitation and safe discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for orthopaedic patients.
- Developing effective discharge plans to support safe transitions from hospital.
- Assessing, ordering and recommending appropriate equipment to promote independence.
- Delivering group education sessions to support patient recovery and rehabilitation.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, including SOAP notes.
- Liaising closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to coordinate patient care.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Band 6 Orthopaedic OT.
- Strong assessment, discharge planning and equipment provision skills.
- Experience writing SOAP notes and working collaboratively within an MDT.
- HCPC registration and a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification.
