Variable shift patterns available
08.00-2.00pm – Morning and Lunch Calls
4.00pm-10pm – Tea and Bed Calls
10.00pm- 08.00am – Waking Nights
Role and Responsibilities:
• To be an integral part of the team to support with all aspects of the care role
• Provide person centered care
• Provide support in daily living activities
• Manage and administer medication
• Understand, adhere to, and follow care standards. Policies and procedures
• Keep all records up to date with accurate information
• Provide support with personal care (Undressing, bathing, dressing, toileting, continence care)
• Provide support with Nutrition and Hydration – Meal Preparation
• Engage with the service user
• Light Domestic Duties/Shopping
• Make sure that safe care practices are adhered to
• Using Moving and Handling equipment
• Communicate with other colleagues and senior level staff
• Maintain Confidentiality
• Use specialised equipment for feeding – gastric feed
• Use specialised equipment for breathing – nippy/vent/tracheostomy
Ideal Candidate:
• Must be hard working, reliable and honest
• Experience preferred but not essential as full training can be provided
• Must hold a valid DBS / this can also be obtained if you do not have one
• Driver preferred but not essential
• Be friendly and able to engage with others
• Must have empathy towards others
