Homecare Assistant / Care Assistant – Hemsworth, Pontefract – Complex Care

Variable shift patterns available:

  • 07:00 AM – 07:00 PM – Day Calls
  • 07:00 PM – 07:00 AM – Night Calls
  • 10:00 PM – 08:00 AM – Waking Nights

Role and Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of the care role.
  • Assist with mobility to help service users move around.
  • Provide personal care including undressing, bathing, dressing, toileting and pad changes.
  • Support service users with their meals.
  • Interact with service users compassionately and empathetically.
  • Ensure comfort and safety, maintaining a clean and organised environment.
  • Use mechanical and non‑mechanical aids to help residents move.
  • Maintain confidentiality of service user information.
  • Keep accurate, detailed records of activities and update care plans as required.

Ideal Candidate

  • Hard‑working and honest.
  • Valid care training certificate.
  • Full, valid driving licence (personal vehicle an added advantage).
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a care setting.
  • Current and valid enhanced DBS.
  • Willing to be paid as a contractor under an umbrella company.
  • Experience in customer service.
