Homecare Assistant / Care Assistant – Castleford, West Yorkshire – Complex Care
Variable shift patterns:
- 07:00 AM – 07:00 PM – Day Calls
- 07:00 PM – 07:00 AM – Night Calls
- 10:00 PM – 08:00 AM – Waking Nights
Role and Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of the care role as part of the team.
- Assist with mobility and help service users move around.
- Provide personal care (undressing, bathing, dressing, toileting, pad changes).
- Assist with meals.
- Interact with service users compassionately and empathetically.
- Ensure comfort and safety, maintaining a clean and organised environment.
- Use mechanical and non‑mechanical aids to help residents when moving.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of service users’ activities, updating notes in care plans.
Ideal Candidate
- Hard‑working and honest.
- Valid care training certificate.
- Full, valid driving licence (personal vehicle an advantage).
- Minimum 6 months experience in a care setting.
- Current, valid enhanced DBS.
- Willing to be paid as a contractor under an umbrella company.
