Are you the Relief Therapeutic Counselor we have been looking for? In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by working with our youth! Total Achievement Program (TAP) is a therapeutic after-school and summer program for youth ages 6 to 12 years old. TAP staff work closely with the youths’ families, schools, and community agency providers to support each client’s educational success as part of a comprehensive treatment team. TAP Plymouth is looking for YOU to join our team!
JRI Provides The Training So That
- YOU will be able to develop your skills in providing enriching daily activities for our students such as arts and crafts, homework assistance, recreational activities including offsite field trips, and more!
- YOU will be able to create a safe and therapeutic community by working with youth to build positive peer relationships, manage behaviors in group settings, and develop effective coping strategies.
- YOU will work as a member of a treatment team that provides group counseling, works with youth to set goals, and collaborates with youth’s support systems to develop treatment plans.
- YOU will help students discover what makes them feel competent and valued by supporting them in developing the social skills necessary to function at home and in the community. Your day-to-day work will support students in developing a sense of self and provide them the skills to be successful in their next steps.

Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. And must be 21 years old or older.
- Candidates who have experience working with latency age children or experience in behavior modification are preferred.
- Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting youth is required.
- At JRI, you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our youth!
- Background and driving record checks will be performed.
