Help shape the future of the North East’s largest Travel Insurance provider. Just Travel Cover is entering an exciting phase of growth as we move into 2026 and beyond. We are looking for a Marketing & Development Manager to play a pivotal, hands-on role in driving customer acquisition, retention, and brand growth across the full marketing mix.
Reporting Structure: Marketing & Development Manager reports to the Marketing Director.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct Marketing: Plan, manage and deliver acquisition and retention campaigns across direct marketing channels including direct mail, SMS and email; set objectives and KPIs, ensuring campaigns are insight-led and commercially effective.
- Affiliate and Partnership Marketing: Lead the affiliate marketing and internal partnerships programme, develop, manage and expand affiliate, referral and partner relationships, evaluate performance, ensure brand compliance and profitability, and identify new partnership opportunities.
- Email Marketing and CRM: Own the email marketing and marketing automation strategy; oversee database growth, segmentation and lifecycle marketing activity; ensure data is managed in compliance with data protection legislation.
- Search Engine Optimisation Management: Manage the SEO strategy in collaboration with external agencies, monitor performance and align SEO activity with wider digital and commercial goals.
- Social Media Strategy and Brand Growth: Define and deliver the company’s social media strategy, oversee content planning, channel growth and performance measurement, and ensure consistent brand tone of voice.
- Website, Content and Online Copy Management: Own content strategy across company websites; oversee web editing, content creation and online copywriting; collaborate cross-functionally with product, compliance and technology teams.
- Marketing Systems, Technology and Supplier Management: Optimise use of marketing technology platforms and act as primary contact for third-party providers; drive continuous improvement through system enhancements, automation and data-led decision-making.
- Leadership, Governance and Stakeholder Management: Manage the marketing executive, support the Marketing Director, collaborate with the senior leadership team and undertake additional strategic projects to contribute to commercial and brand success.
Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Marketing Director.
Qualifications:
- Two years of management experience.
- Experience with digital marketing tactics, including email, CRM and SEO.
- Insurance knowledge.
- Experience in partnership work.
