Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour

Days / Hours: 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday

We’re currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Engineer to join their growing team based in Needham Market, Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within engineering.

You don't need previous engineering experience, as full training will be provided. The company is looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and some experience using basic hand tools. You’ll have the opportunity to learn every aspect of the business, working alongside experienced engineers and developing a wide range of practical skills.

Key Duties:

  • Learn all aspects of the engineering and manufacturing process
  • Assist experienced engineers with the assembly, installation and servicing of equipment
  • Use hand and power tools safely and correctly
  • Carry out basic mechanical assembly and fitting tasks
  • Help prepare equipment and materials for projects
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Develop the knowledge and skills required to become a fully trained engineer

About You:

  • Have a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn
  • Enjoy practical, hands-on work
  • Experience using basic hand tools through work, college or hobbies
  • Reliable, hardworking and punctual
  • Work well as part of a team and independently when required
  • Has good communication skills
  • Is looking for a long-term career within engineering
  • Holds a full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential, depending on business requirements)
