We’re currently recruiting for a Process Operative to join our client on the outskirts of Ipswich, Suffolk. This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical or scientific background who is happy working in a practical production environment and can follow clear processes accurately.

About the Role:

You will be supporting a small production team, where most of the day will involve supporting production tasks and material handling, alongside carrying out simple quality checks such as viscosity, pH and temperature measurements.

Key duties:

  • Support hands-on production activities on the pilot line
  • Assist with material handling, staging and batch preparation
  • Carry out simple in-process quality measurements such as viscosity, pH and temperature
  • Record measurement results and production data accurately
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and a safe working environment
  • Report any unusual results or process issues to the relevant team lead
  • Work flexibly across production and quality tasks as required

About you:

You will ideally have a technical or scientific background with some understanding of basic chemistry or physical measurements. Able to follow simple measurement procedures accurately and consistently. Good attention to detail and confidence raising issues where results appear incorrect. Comfortable with manual handling and physical production work throughout the day. Reliable, flexible and able to work as part of a team. Must hold a full driving licence and have access to own vehicle – this is essential.
