Freight Forwarder - We're currently recruiting for an experience Freight Forwarder to join our client based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds on a temp to perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within manufacturing. The role will initially be a temporary position for up to 12 weeks and for the right candidate will go permanent! About the Role: You will liaise with customers, suppliers, hauliers and international agents, managing shipments from booking through to final delivery while ensuring all relevant documentation and customs requirements are completed accurately. If all goes well, this could become a long-term position. This is a full-time role, Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm. The pay rate is circa £14.90 - £16.00 per hour. Key duties will include: Arrange transport bookings and liaise with hauliers, shipping lines Prepare and process shipping documentation, including customs paperwork Track shipments and keep customers updated on progress and delivery times Requirements: Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics or transport coordination Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and transport or freight management systems CNS/Destin8 knowledge Multifreight knowledge Clearance including Bond Ideally but not essential If you have the relevant skills and experience and would like to be considered, please apply by forwarding an up-to-date CV as soon as possible.
