Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Days / Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 3pm | 8am – 4pm

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Assembly Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Braintree, Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team in a hands-on role that involves assembling components using hand tools, interpreting technical drawings, and carrying out packing duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly of components using hand tools
  • Interpreting and working from technical drawings
  • Operating light machinery (training provided)
  • Performing quality checks to maintain high standards
  • Packing of finished products
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Meeting daily and weekly production targets
  • Following written and verbal instructions accurately

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Comfortable standing for the duration of your shift
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Capable of repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team
  • Immediately available or available to start at short notice
  • Must hold a full driving licence and have access to own vehicle – this is essential
