An exciting opportunity has become available for a Year 6 class teacher in Southam. This role will run from September 2026 until the following Easter. The role will involve preparing pupils for Key Stage 2 SATs, including revision, practice papers, and exam techniques. The school itself is located in a semi-rural area and is two-form entry. It supports pupils from early years to KS2 and encourages every child to reach their full potential and develop both intellectually and physically. The school has a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and prides itself on having brilliant children and dedicated, enthusiastic staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality Year 6 lessons that support pupils in mastering the upper‑KS2 curriculum.
- Effectively prepare pupils for the transition to secondary school and end of year assessments (SAT’s).
- Promote positive behaviour across the classroom by using effective strategies and clear routines.
Pre-requisites
- Qualified Teaching Status or equivalent.
- Proven experience in Primary Education.
- A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school-based references.
