About the role: justteachers are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Great Yarmouth that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September. This role will begin on a supply basis, providing an excellent opportunity for both the candidate and the school to ensure the role is the right fit, with the intention of offering a permanent position following a successful trial period. This rewarding opportunity is ideal for a passionate and committed teacher who is dedicated to inspiring and supporting pupils during this important stage of their primary education.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and creative lessons, foster a positive learning environment, and help every child achieve their full potential both academically and personally. The school is committed to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning. This role would suit an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to further develop their teaching career within a supportive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils can thrive
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs
  • Differentiate learning activities to support pupils of varying abilities and learning styles
  • Establish high expectations for behaviour, learning, and achievement
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence, independence, and resilience
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and school leaders to support pupil outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through staff meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities where appropriate
  • Maintain accurate records and fulfil all teaching responsibilities in line with school policies
  • Promote safeguarding and pupil welfare at all times
  • Uphold the school’s values and commitment to providing high-quality education for every child

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, preferably Year 4, is desirable
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A creative, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents/carers
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • A commitment to raising standards and supporting every child to achieve their potential
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Two recent education-based references

This is a full-time role starting in September, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful supply trial period.
