About the role:
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 3 Teacher to join a large and inclusive primary school in Peterborough from September through to December, covering the final term of a maternity leave. This well-established school offers a dynamic and supportive environment with a strong sense of community, where staff work collaboratively to provide a high-quality education. The school prides itself on creating an engaging and structured learning experience that supports pupils’ academic progress and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full responsibility for planning, preparation, and marking
- Delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Supporting pupil progress and maintaining high expectations for attainment and behaviour
- Collaborating effectively with year group colleagues and wider staff
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably Year 3
- Strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons
- Excellent classroom management skills and a positive, proactive approach to teaching
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one), along with relevant references and the right to work in the UK
