About the role:
We are working in partnership with a friendly and supportive Primary school in Wymondham, who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teacher to join their team on a part-time, long-term supply basis for 4 days per week, starting in September.
This welcoming school is committed to providing a positive and engaging learning environment where all pupils are encouraged to thrive both academically and personally. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering creative and engaging lessons to a Year 3 class, supporting pupils throughout their learning journey and helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support and challenge pupils of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback where appropriate
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with the school’s policies
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and parents
- Contribute to the wider school community and school activities where required
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners within the classroom
- Maintain accurate records and complete planning and marking responsibilities
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Previous experience teaching within a Primary school setting, ideally KS2
- Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- A genuine passion for education and supporting children’s development
- Two recent education-based references
