This is a part‑time position (3 days per week) with an urgent start, offered on a long‑term basis. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Plan, prepare, and assess engaging practical and theory‑based lessons
- Promote participation, teamwork, and a positive attitude towards physical activity
- Differentiating lessons to support pupils of varying abilities
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Contribute to extracurricular sports activities where possible
- Monitor and track pupil progress
- Uphold and follow the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures
Pre‑requisites
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching PE at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports and physical activities
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A proactive, energetic, and flexible approach
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
- Two education‑based references from within the last two years
