About the role:
Justteachers is recruiting a resilient SEMH Behaviour Support Assistant for a specialist provision in Wellingborough. This full-time role begins May 2026 and runs until January 2027. You will support pupils with behavioural and emotional needs, helping them to engage positively with their learning and school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted behavioural and emotional support for pupils
- Assist with the implementation of behaviour support plans
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils
- Support engagement during lessons and structured activities
- Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams
Pre-requisites:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
- Calm, consistent, and resilient approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
- Two references within the last two years from a related field
