Justteachers Midlands is seeking a resilient and empathetic Pastoral Leader to join the senior support team at one of our partner secondary schools in Warwick. This is a full-time, long-term position with a strong potential for a permanent contract, serving as a cornerstone of student wellbeing and success.
The school is well-regarded for its inclusive culture and its dedication to nurturing the “whole child.” As a Pastoral Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a bright future for students by managing behavioural standards, supporting mental health, and fostering a safe, diverse learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Primary Safeguarding: Act as a key point of contact for safeguarding concerns, ensuring all issues are recorded accurately and escalated to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) when necessary.
- Mental Health Support: Identify students struggling with anxiety, bullying, or home-life pressures and coordinate appropriate internal or external interventions.
- Conflict Resolution: Mediate disputes between students and facilitate restorative justice meetings to repair relationships.
- Previous experience as a pastoral leader is desirable not essential.
- Experience working in a UK school based setting in the last.
- Good communication skills.
- Good behaviour management skills.
- Two educational based references required.
