About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Support Staff member for a part time role in a specialist SEN school based in Stratford-upon-Avon. Starting after May half term, this role is perfect for candidates looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with additional learning needs within a nurturing educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with autism, ADHD, and additional learning needs
- Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging classroom activities
- Encourage independence and confidence in students
- Provide emotional and behavioural support throughout the school day
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Create a safe and supportive environment for learning
Pre-requisites:
- Experience supporting SEN pupils in schools or care settings
- Understanding of SEN strategies and behaviour management
- Positive and proactive attitude
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- DBS registered on the update service or willingness to obtain one
