Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN.
- Develop and implement personalised learning strategies and interventions.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents, and external agencies.
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, adapting teaching where required.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil independence and confidence.
Pre-requisites
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching pupils with special educational needs.
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation and inclusive teaching practices.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
