About the role:
Justteachers is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming SEN school in Stratford-upon-Avon seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary PMLD Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a passionate SEND practitioner looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The successful candidate will work within a supportive and highly skilled multidisciplinary team, delivering personalised learning experiences that promote communication, independence, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with PMLD.
- Develop and implement individual learning programmes and EHCP targets.
- Use a range of communication strategies including sensory approaches, PECS, Makaton, and AAC where appropriate.
- Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching pupils with PMLD, complex needs, or SEND.
- Strong understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, resilient, and child-centred approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
