About the role:
justteachers are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Stratford-upon-Avon from September 2026. This full-time role involves supporting students in KS3 classes with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access learning and achieve their individual goals within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to KS3 students with additional learning needs.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Support students with communication, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
- Promote student independence, confidence, and participation in classroom activities.
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Pre-requisites:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.
- Understanding of a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to supporting learning.
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable but not essential.
