About the role: We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a large and welcoming primary school in Spalding from September until January, covering a maternity leave. This vibrant and well-established school offers a supportive and collaborative environment where staff are committed to delivering high-quality education. Key Responsibilities:
- Full responsibility for planning, preparation, and marking
- Delivering engaging and structured lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
- Supporting pupil progress and preparing pupils for end of KS1 expectations
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
- Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment expectations
- A positive, enthusiastic, and organised approach to teaching
- Excellent classroom management skills and ability to build strong relationships
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one), along with relevant references and the right to work in the UK
