Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and well‑planned Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, following the school’s curriculum.
- Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and targeted intervention where required.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Science department, contributing to planning and sharing best practice.
- Maintain a positive and safe learning environment that promotes curiosity, engagement, and good behaviour.
Pre-requisites
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Science at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills
- A professional, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching
- Two education‑based references from within the last two years
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
