Primary Teacher of SEND - Spalding

About the role:

A supportive and inclusive SEND school in Spalding catering for primary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs. The school is dedicated to creating a safe, engaging, and structured learning environment where every child can thrive both academically and personally. With a strong focus on personalised learning, communication, and independence, you will play a key role in delivering creative, adapted lessons that meet the diverse needs of your pupils. This role is available on both a full-time and part-time basis, starting ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with a range of SEND, ensuring all learners can access and participate in the curriculum.
• Adapt teaching strategies, resources, and outcomes to support pupils with varying abilities, including those with communication and sensory needs.
• Create a structured and nurturing classroom environment that promotes independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours.
• Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and external professionals to implement individual learning plans and provide holistic support for each pupil.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience working with primary-aged pupils with SEND, or a strong interest in developing within a specialist setting.
• Secure understanding of a range of special educational needs and the ability to adapt teaching approaches to support diverse learners.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
