About the Role
Justteachers is seeking a committed Physics Teacher to support a well‑regarded secondary school in Sowerby Bridge. This is a long‑term cover position, starting ASAP, involves delivering engaging and well‑structured Physics lessons across KS3 and KS4 as part of a supportive science department.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Physics lessons covering key theoretical and practical concepts.
- Support students’ understanding of physics principles through clear explanations and engaging demonstrations.
- Use effective differentiation and assessment strategies to promote progress.
- Maintain strong behaviour management to ensure a positive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with the Science department and wider school team.
Pre‑requisites
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent Physics/Science teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Physics at secondary level.
- Confident delivery of practical science and strong classroom management.
- Excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice.
- Ability to provide two education‑based references.
