Justteachers are recruiting a KS1 Class Teacher to take responsibility for a Year 2 class on a part-time basis (3 days per week) from Easter 2026, for a fixed term of one year.

About the role: This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team and make a measurable impact on pupil progress during a key assessment year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners in Year 2, in line with the National Curriculum and school policies.
  • Implement and adapt systematic phonics and early reading approaches (e.g., Little Wandle/Read Write Inc. or equivalent) to support progress.
  • Differentiating learning and providing targeted support, including for pupils with SEND and EAL, working alongside the SENCO and support staff.

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Recent successful teaching experience in KS1, ideally in Year 2.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, early reading/phonics, and age-appropriate pedagogy.
  • Proven ability to use assessment (including statutory teacher assessment processes) to drive progress.
