About the role
Justteachers have a large client base of Primary schools based in and around the Skegness area who require cover supervisors for absences on a day to day, interim and long-term basis. The schools we support vary from rural one form entry primary schools to large academy trusts that focus on collaborative teaching. We have positions available to start immediately and planned absences ASAP.
Key Responsibilities
- To deliver pre-set learning and supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the teacher.
- The primary focus will be to maintain good order and to keep pupils on task by promoting good learner behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with the school’s behaviour management.
- Cover supervisors will need to respond to questions and generally assist pupils to undertake set activities.
- Provide feedback to teachers on children’s achievement, progress, problems etc.
Pre-requisites
- Be a qualified HTLA, be a degree qualified Teaching Assistant or be a teaching assistant with referenceable experience of teaching primary age pupils.
- Be able to supply at least 2 education/school-based references from the last two years.
- Be able to establish constructive relationships with learners and interact according to individual needs.
- Have an adaptable attitude and ability to flexibly move age range from one period to the next.
