About the role:
Justteachers are pleased to be working with a welcoming and supportive Secondary school in Sheringham, who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join their team on a long term part time supply basis, starting immediately and continuing into September. This role will involve working 3 days per week. This school prides itself on creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential. Staff work collaboratively to deliver engaging lessons and provide excellent support for students both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Differentiating learning to support pupils of varying abilities and needs
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
- Encourage positive behaviour and active participation within lessons
- Support pupils in developing confidence and problem-solving skills in Maths
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents where appropriate
- Contribute to the wider school community and uphold school values
Pre-requisites:
- Previous experience teaching Maths within a Secondary school setting
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
- Confidence teaching Maths across a range of abilities
- Two recent education-based references
