Justteachers is partnering with a forward-thinking and supportive secondary school in Sheffield to appoint a skilled Computing Teacher. The role is due to start in May 2026 (no later than after the May half-term) and will run for the remainder of the academic year. This is a full-time position, although strong part-time applicants will also be considered.

The Role
You will deliver high-quality Computing lessons that develop students’ understanding of key concepts while encouraging curiosity and confidence in digital skills. The role offers the opportunity to engage students in both theoretical and practical aspects of computing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach engaging lessons covering core computing topics such as algorithms, computational thinking, and problem-solving
- Deliver programming instruction, with a focus on Python, while introducing other languages such as Java, HTML, and CSS
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and independent learning
- Support students in their preparation for assessments and examinations
- Promote interest in computing, digital skills, and emerging technologies
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
- A degree in Computing, Computer Science, or a related field
- Good knowledge of the UK Computing curriculum, particularly at GCSE level
- Strong programming skills, especially in Python, with awareness of additional languages and tools
- An engaging and adaptable teaching approach, with an interest in current and emerging technologies
