Justteachers is seeking an SEND Teaching Assistant to join a Specialist SEND school in the Skipton area to cover on a temporary to permanent basis. The full-time post is due to start as soon as possible with shortlisting currently taking place. The school caters for students aged 4-19 with SEND; ASC, MLD and PMLD. This is a highly supportive school where every child is provided with the opportunity to gain an education, to feel safe and to be valued as an individual.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing academic support
- Promoting students' social skills development
- Providing tailored support
- Supporting educational outcomes
- Monitoring and recording pupil progress
- Crisis intervention
- Liaising with parents, carers and outside organisations
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- Experience working within an educational or care setting
