About the role
justteachers are supporting a primary school in Rugby to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with SEMH needs. This is a full‑time role with an immediate start, fixed term until the end of the academic year. The school has a strong pastoral team and a nurturing approach to behaviour support, with access to specialist training and external agency support. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils requiring additional emotional and behavioural support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted SEMH support for pupils
- Implement behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Support engagement with learning activities
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SENDCo
Pre‑requisites
- Qualified Teaching Status or equivalent
- Proven experience in Primary Education
- A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school-based references
