About the role:
Justteachers is currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Support Staff member to work part time within a supportive SEN school in Rugby. This rewarding role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential. The position will begin after May half term and offers a welcoming environment with ongoing support from experienced staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN needs
- Assist students with communication, emotional regulation, and classroom engagement
- Support the class teacher with daily learning activities
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
Pre-requisites:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Relevant TA qualification or transferable experience is desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
