About the role:
Justteachers are currently working with a welcoming SEN school in Rugby to recruit a passionate EYFS SEN Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This full-time role is ideal for a nurturing and creative teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with additional needs in the early years of education. Part-time applications will also be considered for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will work with pupils with a range of special educational needs including Autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that support both academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and communication development
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents/carers
- Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Contribute to EHCP reviews and pupil target setting
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working within SEN settings or with pupils with additional needs
- Strong understanding of EYFS curriculum and child development
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
