Justteachers are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Science Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in the Rugby area from September 2026. This is a long-term opportunity running through to the end of the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent position for a successful candidate. The school boasts a well-established and highly respected Science department, delivering a broad and engaging curriculum up to Key Stage 5. Students consistently achieve strong outcomes at both GCSE and A-level, reflecting the department’s commitment to high-quality teaching and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in biology, chemistry, and physics, while fostering a safe laboratory environment.
- Supervise practical experiments, demonstrate scientific techniques, manage the safe handling of chemicals, and ensure laboratory safety regulations are strictly followed.
- Set, mark, and evaluate student work, including tests, assignments, and reports to monitor progress and provide feedback.
- Set clear behavioral expectations and maintain a positive, safe, and orderly learning environment.
Pre-requisites
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching Science to GCSE level.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour support strategies.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
