About the role:
Justteachers is working with a specialist SEN school in Rugby that is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Primary PMLD Teacher to join their team full-time from September 2026.
The school provides outstanding support for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties and is looking for a teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality, individualised education that enables every pupil to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver creative and engaging lessons adapted to meet a wide range of complex learning needs.
- Support pupils’ communication, sensory, physical, and emotional development.
- Develop individual learning plans aligned with EHCP outcomes.
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress.
- Work closely with support staff and specialist professionals.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence wherever possible
Pre-requisites:
- QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Previous experience in SEND, PMLD, SLD, or complex needs settings.
- Knowledge of sensory learning and communication strategies.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
