About the role:
Justteachers are seeking an enthusiastic KS3 SEN Teacher for a specialist SEN school in Rugby, starting in September 2026. This is a full-time opportunity, although part-time applicants will be considered for the right candidate. The role would suit a teacher who is passionate about supporting Key Stage 3 pupils with a variety of learning and behavioural needs.
The school provides a supportive environment focused on helping students build confidence, independence, and academic progress through tailored learning approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated lessons across Key Stage 3
- Support students with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties
- Develop positive relationships that encourage engagement and achievement
- Work collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, and external agencies
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records and reports
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing within the classroom
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Previous experience teaching KS3 pupils within SEN or alternative provision settings
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet a range of learning needs
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
- Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to apply for one
