About the role: justteachers is excited to recruit a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist setting in Rugby from September 2026. This role is based within an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision, supporting young learners at the very beginning of their educational journey. It’s a rewarding opportunity to help shape early development in a nurturing, play-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with a range of special educational needs in an EYFS setting
- Assist with early development activities, including sensory play and communication tasks
- Work closely with the class teacher to implement individual learning plans (EHCPs)
- Encourage social interaction, independence, and emotional regulation
- Provide personal care where required
Pre-requisites:
- Experience working with children with SEN, ideally within EYFS
- A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) are desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
