About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed English Teacher to join a school in Rotherham from September 2026. This full-time position will run through to Easter 2027, with the potential to become a permanent role—offering excellent stability and career progression for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured English lessons across all key stages, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and strong academic progress.
- Monitor and assess student performance, providing clear, constructive feedback and tailored support to help every learner succeed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum, contribute to departmental planning, and share innovative teaching ideas and resources.
- Foster an inclusive and inspiring classroom environment where students feel confident, supported, and motivated to achieve their best.
- Play an active role in the wider school community, including staff meetings, pastoral duties, enrichment activities, and whole-school initiatives.
Pre-requisites:
- A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
- Experience teaching English at secondary school level.
- A strong understanding of the English curriculum, supported by effective and engaging teaching practices.
- Two relevant education or school-based references.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people, with the ability to motivate, challenge, and inspire students of all abilities.
