About the role: justteachers are working with a welcoming and well-supported secondary school in the Ripon area to recruit a passionate Teacher of Music to join their team from September. This long-term supply role offers a great opportunity to inspire creativity and musical expression in pupils while contributing to a vibrant and engaging arts provision. The school are ideally looking for someone who can take on a full time role but there may be the option of part time hours for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons that inspire creativity and participation.
- Teach a range of topics, including performance, composition and music theory.
- Encourage pupil involvement in practical music-making, both individually and as part of a group.

Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching Music in a UK Secondary school.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the arts.
- Ability to play an instrument (ideally piano).

- Two education or school-based references.
