Justteachers are proud to be working with a primary school in Gainsborough, that are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to work with a KS2 Student with complex needs. The school is looking for a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term supply basis. The role is to start ASAP until the end of the academic year. The school offers a safe and inclusive learning environment for their students, and are looking for an experienced TA who can follow and respect their values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work 1:1 with a KS2 student with SEN, very complex needs
  • Foster a strong working relationship with your 1:1
  • Modify learning resources and activities to ensure they are accessible and inclusive for all students
  • Encourage positive behaviour and offer emotional support to help students navigate and overcome challenges

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Previous experience working with children in a professional setting, that can be referenced
  • Experience supporting in SEN or SEMH environments
  • A level 2 or 3 TA qualification is highly desirable
  • A caring and patient approach, with a commitment to supporting every child's individual needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and parents
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the varied needs of students
