About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a Primary Teacher with experience supporting pupils with complex needs to join a specialist provision in the Preston area on a long-term basis.
The full-time post is due to start in April 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place.
This nurturing and inclusive school supports children with a range of complex needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), sensory processing difficulties, and communication challenges. The team is committed to providing a personalised, therapeutic learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs and learning profiles
- Supporting pupils in developing communication, independence, and emotional regulation
- Working closely with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure holistic progress
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with children with complex SEND, including Autism and PMLD
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and sensory-based learning
- Two education or school-based references
