About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a Nurture Teacher to join a caring and inclusive school in the Preston area on a long-term basis.
The full-time post is due to start in September 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place.
This nurturing school supports children with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as those with SEND including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The school’s dedicated Nurture provision focuses on building trust, emotional resilience, and readiness for learning through a structured and therapeutic approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering tailored lessons within a nurture group setting
- Supporting pupils in developing emotional regulation, social skills, and self-confidence
- Working closely with pastoral teams, families, and external agencies to ensure holistic support
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with children with SEMH, Autism, or other SEND
- A strong understanding of nurture principles and trauma-informed practice
- Two education or school-based references
