Justteachers is seeking an ASC Teacher to join a vibrant specialist school in the Preston area to cover on a long-term basis. The full-time post is due to start in September 2026; however, immediate start dates may also be available with shortlisting currently taking place. This specialist school is dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) are supported to reach their full potential through a tailored and engaging curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to students with ASC
- Implementing EHCPs and individualised learning plans to support student progress
- Collaborating with SEN staff, support workers, and parents to create an inclusive learning environment
- Ensure that safeguarding and welfare policies are followed at all times
Pre-requisites
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Proven experience teaching or supporting students with ASC
- Strong knowledge of autism strategies and SEN best practices
- Two education or school-based references
- The legal right to work in the UK
- A clear enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one
